Specifically, this funding will enable Axelys to:
- Accelerate the transfer of innovations resulting from public research;
- Strengthen the protection and strategic management of Quebec’s intellectual property;
- Support the creation and growth of innovative companies;
- Promote the adoption of innovations by companies, organizations, and end-users;
- Maximize the economic and social benefits of public research;
- Provide specialized expertise in commercialization throughout Quebec.
This announcement is part of a broader government investment of $288 million aimed at supporting and promoting public research, while stimulating innovation. Of this amount, just over $250 million is being allocated to the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
