In its roadmap, For a Quebec That Believes in Its Science, Acfas set out to document the priorities of its community and develop clear, ambitious recommendations for all of Quebec’s political parties.

The roadmap aims to provide stronger support for research, research institutions, and the community that sustains it.

Major innovations emerge from the convergence of expertise, knowledge, and the strengths of an ecosystem. But these connections do not happen on their own; they require bridges that bring the right people together. This is the role Axelys plays: connecting the right stakeholders at the right time and ensuring continuity throughout the research valorization process, from laboratories to the organizations and communities that will adopt these innovations.

As outlined in our 2025–2026 Annual Report, this collective effort resulted in 406 innovation projects receiving support and more than 240 networking activities bringing together researchers, institutions, entrepreneurs, businesses, investors, and end-user organizations.

This is one example of how Axelys’s work aligns with Acfas’s roadmap, which sets out 23 recommendations reflecting the priorities of a community essential to Quebec’s economic, scientific, social, and cultural development.
