$38 million to boost the impact of public research in Quebec

The Government of Quebec has just confirmed, by government decree, $38 million in financial support over three years for Axelys, with the aim of accelerating the commercialization of public research and strengthening the protection of Quebec’s intellectual property, thereby reaffirming its commitment to making commercialization a strategic driver of economic development for Quebec.

This amount includes the renewal of Axelys’ operating agreement, as well as additional funding recently approved by the government. Together, these two components provide Axelys with stable and consistent support for the next three years, in line with the priorities of the 2026–2027 budget, which positions public research as a driver of competitiveness and economic sovereignty for Quebec.

  • Promote the adoption of innovations by companies, organizations, and end-users;
