Publication of the White Paper on the Innovation Readiness Level (IRL)

Axelys is proud to announce the publication of its very first white paper, titled: “The Innovation Readiness Level (IRL): A Framework to Guide the Development of Innovations Emerging from Public Research and Scientific Entrepreneurship.”

This document proposes a structured reference framework designed to better support the development and maturation of innovations stemming from public research. Inspired by best practices in innovation and technology transfer, the IRL (Innovation Readiness Level) model helps to better situate innovations within their development journey, guide support strategies, and foster a common understanding among the various stakeholders in the ecosystem.

In a context where the commercialization of research and scientific entrepreneurship are playing an increasingly important role in Quebec’s economic and societal development, this white paper is intended as a practical tool to support researchers, research institutions, industrial partners, investors, and support organizations.
