Are you a student developing an innovation, a research-based prototype, or an idea with strong market potential? This program is for you!
The Technology Readiness Level-Up (TRL) Program is a fully funded four-month commercialization experience for innovative students across Canada.
What participants receive:
● A $10,000 grant
● Mentoring from experienced industry and technology transfer professionals (provided by Axelys)
● Access to applied research labs, facilities, and commercialization environments
● A national cohort of fellow innovators
● Real-world experience in taking a research project from concept to real-world impact
The next cohort begins January 18, 2027 and ends May 14, 2027.
Who can apply :
In June 2026, applicants must be a current College, Undergrad, Master’s, PhD student, or postdoc (within five years of graduation) at a Canadian post-secondary institution, or a recent graduate (within two-years of graduation). TRL is open to innovators across all sectors.
